I tested out the high speed capability in the D800 today and was more then pleased. Even with the low frame count of 4fps. I didn't really feel like that was a problem. The AF system is so precise that every shoot is in focus. And I was shooting with the SB-910. And not a single shot were the flash didn't fire. Even when I put the camera in crop mode, giving the camera 5fps the flash was with me al the way. So you can do action with the D800.

I love my new camera!! It just performs and performs and performs. To dark? Bump it up to 3200 ISO. And it works. Still to dark? Why not 6400 ISO. It works. It takes to picture and it doesn't look terrible. It gives you a usable 36.6 million pixel image at ISO 6400. It's amazing. I don't have to think anymore about what my camera can or can't do. It just does it. I point, I shoot and it captures the moment.
...Just wait and see.

I ordered some more pictures for my apartment today after seeing the great results from the poster. So they should be coming any day now. I'll post some pictures of them when there hanging.
I also ordered another Quantuum softbox. And another flash... and a third one. But they where cheap and now I have a fool studio setup. I have great plans for some pictures as soon as my camera is delivered. Witch should be any day now.
Anyways I was working on a logo and I'm not shore it's a keeper yet. I stole the idea btw.
I'm of to bed now... or maybe another house episode first.

My softbox came in today. A 60x60cm Quantuum softbox with a light-stand that can go way higher then my sealing so I don't really now how high it can go. No I need a 40x180cm or something like that for the full body shots.
I got a free poster from FOTO.com. So that came today also. I did a print of this photo and it turned out great! It's a 75x50cm vertical print and I'm very impressed by the little Nikon J1 sensor. It's just further prof that it's all about the glass. And I have some great glass for my cameras now. It's a pretty inexpensive print to. I would of costed me 75kr for the poster and the frame was an extra 47kr and then 60kr for the shipping. I got it for free so I only had to pay for the shipping. I could definitely buy more posters like this. The large 60x150cm costs 250kr. Thats nothing compered to a canvas that will cost you 10 times that amount for that size. And if you can find cheap frames that the posters look better then canvases.
Thats all for now.

Well I don't have much to right about, at least not about my photography. Because I'm still waiting for my stupid camera to be delivered. I might get one before the weekend or it should come next week. The camera store had the D800E in stock so I asked them if they could change my order to the D800E instead. It's not really what I want because of the anti aliasing will give me more work in post, but I've been without a camera for so long now so I don't care anymore. And it will give me sharper images so thats a plus.
I just bought more memory for my 27" iMac too. I'm running 4GB on an 3.1Ghz i5 processor and a 1GB AMD graphic card so the memory has been the first thing to give out all the time. Don't know what the second hand company where thinking when the put this computer together. Well I bought an extra 8GB so that will put me at 12Gb total. If thats not enough I'll replace the 2x2Gb stock memory for another 2x4Gb memory set up.
Can't wait to get out to shoot.

Well here we go. My own website.
There aren't to many pictures yet because I haven't had the time to post everything. I don't feel like posting old work so there will be more to come. If you are interested in some face shots then send me an email and I'll give you a free session.
Thats it for now, hope you like the site.
